Busy
I seem to be getting into crazy busy mode again. It’s all good, but I tend to become a wee bit panicked at times. (read anxiety attacks) Somehow I always get everything done, but if anyone knows a good method of getting from point A to point B while still breathing please let me know. Today was the Hubbard’s market. I’m there every other Saturday. It was really fun and once again managed to sell lots of hats to lots of adorable women. Fortunately, this lady took my advice and chose the one you see on her head. It was just too perfect for her. The hankie that I used for this flower was one of my favourites. It reminded me of a fourth of July picnic.
Hey Anna – Glad it's a good kind of busy, but I know from personal experience that even "good" can cause anxiety. I have anxiety attacks too. The herb "Valerian" helps me (it smells awful but it's worth it) and you can get it from any natural foods store in their vitamins and supplements section. You can also try "Rescue Remedy," a Bach Flower Remedy that can also be used for trauma and shock (like when someone small falls down and skins their knee). I find that aromatherapy helps me too. For me, lavender, mint or bee balm work, but you may find other scents that work better for you. Bee balm works for me because it's one of my favorite scents in the world, not because it's necessarily a naturally soothing scent. Hope you find something that works for you. Anxiety sucks.
I hear ya, Anna! I currently feel like I`m up to my eyeballs in work. Strange, because this is sort of why we do this, right? I find it particularly hard juggling the time – work, home, family, sewing work. Sometimes I have to make myself sleep – my body needs to rest but my mind and ambitions don't want to stop. And no matter how much you enjoy something, every now and then it does simply get lumped in together with all of the other things you are trying to do. The simple act of living is definatly anxiety provoking.
Oh, goodness, yes, I agree with Andrea about sleep. (Says the woman who just woke up from almost 24 hrs of continuous sleep). lso exercise helps. Sometimes when I'm anxious and I feel like I'm going to burst, I go for a quick walk, and that helps. Having an exercise routine is something my dr. suggested, but it's hard to fit in when you're busy, right?
…glad you are busy, but it can overwhelm at times can't it! love the hat…and you are right…it is perfect on her! xoxo, mickey
Whhheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Although it seems like it can't work the best strategy I have found is to stop for 1 hour a day. 4 x15 minutes. 6 x10 or the whole hour.
it is the stopping that makes the efficient use of time the most efficient.
Your hats are beautiful.
ahhhh… anxiety attacks… I suffered for a long time from those dreadful beasts. Trick is… make your list and start ticking stuff off. Stop thinking ahead at all the crap that's gotta get done and just do one thing at a time. The big list looks overwhelming… but if you can get that out of your head and do just one thing at a time… which is all we're capable of doing anyway… eventually stuff gets done. Live in the moment that you're in. Stop thinking of where you aren't… or what you aren't doing.
