Description
The Nellie Jane hat is a romantic fluted brim summer hat made from seagrass straw and dressed up with a hand dyed organic cotton and hemp band and flower spray. It can be made in many colours, so if you have a vision of what you would like please don’t hesitate to ask.
As time goes on there are variations in my dye lots, so sometimes a shade may be slightly different from what you see in the photo. I will always communicate with you before changing colours.
Each hat is made to order and can be made in most head sizes. Please allow 2 weeks for completion before shipping.
To measure your head, take a soft tape measure and measure just above the eyebrows, above the tips of the ears and around the largest part of the back of your head. Try to not let the tape measure swoop down towards your neck. If you don’t have a soft tape measure you can use a string and then carefully measure the string. Repeat this a few times to be sure that you keep getting the same number.

If you like the yellow in the little buds, I have been thinking of dyeing up a batch of that yellow. Right now I only have small scraps. I can make the flower spray you see in many different colours. Making a sunflower would be a bit more in depth just because I haven’t done it before and there’s a lot of trial and error in designing. At this time of year I’m too busy for experimenting, but I think I can make the colours you are looking for. Shipping is a flat rate of $15. Thanks, Anna
