This is the official hat of the Floral Water Buffalo society. Have you not heard of the Floral Water Buffalo? It exists in the imaginations of those who grew up on a steady diet of The Flintstones. This surely would have been the hat worn by Wilma and Betty to their own secret lodge meetings.

This hat was made using the wet felting technique. The last photo shows you the first stage of laying out the Merino wool fibres. It is then worked with soap, water and a lot of strength to become this beautiful, supple and resilient felt hat.

The wool used in this hat is very soft and will feel more than comfortable for most people. It is also extremely warm and can be worn in the rain and the snow.

This is a one of a kind hat and will fit a medium head size 22″-22.5″

To measure your head, take a soft tape measure and measure just above the eyebrows, above the tips of the ears and around the largest part of the back of your head. Try to not let the tape measure swoop down towards your neck. If you don’t have a soft tape measure you can use a string and then carefully measure the string. Repeat this a few times to be sure that you keep getting the same number.
