My Protigee
It seems that Dusty is a chip off the old block or maybe that’s chip off the old block head. I think he designed quite the alien head piece. After our millinery session we went to the Lunenburg Community Centre. On Sundays the gym is open for kids between 12:30-2:30. For a $5 donation kids get to run around like maniacs, play basketball, soccer, badminton, ping pong and often a combination of many of these sports together. It’s the most wonderful sort of chaos. Children are running under the nets, through someone’s soccer game, basket balls everywhere and no one minds a bit. We brought Dusty’s plasma car which was a gift from my parents. It’s the best toy in the world and best of all can take up to 200 pounds, so I can still ride it for some time. Poor Tony only gets to watch. The other exciting event of the day was that I figured out how to use the timer on my camera so that I can take photos of myself. No, this is not a new level of narcissicm, but it does allow me to photograph my hats and use myself as a model. I’m like one of those real people models. A little worn out looking, but I work for free and it limits scheduling problems. I promised my friend, Andrea that I would at least put some lipstick on before making the photos public, but this one is just a little tester. This is one of my new hats that I am working on for next fall. It’s a classic cloche with a giant polar fleece petal rose.
…oooh that plasma car looks like so much fun and i love dusty's alien hat! your new hat with the rose is darling…i can see adding that one to my collection someday! xo, mickey
Just love the new hat!
