A slightly different angle

Well, now I’m really having fun with the camera. Thought I’d experiment with some unlikely views of a hat. This is a straw fedora that I originally made for my friend, Andrea. I just completed another one for Beauchapeau Hat Shop in Niagara on The Lake and have decided to offer it in my etsy shop. I always loved that striped gros grain that you find on vintage boater hats, but it’s hard to find, so I made my own by sewing two different gros grain ribbons together.

That hat would be perfect here in Texas! We have a Kentucky Derby party every year & that hat would be swank!

Wonderful hats! Sadly I am not a hat person – would love to be – but have never found one that suits. Family ridicule means I have now given up trying, except when I slink out of the house with the newfies on the coldest days.

Hi Anna! Wanted to let you know that I put some of my bandeaux on my blog, since you mentioned you'd like to see them. I'll leave them up there temporarily until you've had a chance to have a look!
