My Crazy Biker Boy

Happy April everyone, We are beginning the countdown to Dusty’s fifth birthday. Twenty one days to go. Being five means riding a bike. We have pulled Dusty’s out of the basement. Tony tied a strap around it and we drag him everywhere. He pedals when we are going down hill. We have now discovered that we can actually go for long walks again as Dusty is quite happy on his little bike. We went to Stonehurst which is just a few minutes from us. At the very tip is this foot bridge which leads out to a tiny island with a few homes on it and several outhouses. The rocks are amazing. It was low tide so Dusty decided to save all the snails clinging to the rocks by throwing them back into the ocean. He was a little man on a mission. As you can see in the photo, Tony had a mission of his own. I just finished an order for Trove in Toronto. Looks like a great store. If you are in the Toronto area go check them out. It was so nice to have a wall full of vintage hanky hats. But, alas, they are in transit to the big city. Oh well, all the more reason to replenish my stock of vintage hankies. Really, the hunt for these treasures is half the fun. In the end it’s all about going shopping.

…long walks are great and sure helps to reduce stress. I love the picute of Dusty on his bike with his big smile. Five is such a time of change. It seemed to usher in the “Big Boy” look for my two…they did not quite look like babies anymore, sigh. Oh well, time marches on! xoxo, mickey

Okay, this whole post makes me want to smile and cry! Smile because you’re doing a great job of enjoying the moments with Dusty, and cry ’cause my little Ethan is 8 and a half and it’s all going by too quickly!
