Too Hot!

I thought I would never see temperatures over 90 F. 30 C, give or take, since leaving New York. I am always bragging about our wonderful temperate weather. Well now my parents are here for a visit from Toronto and I’m eating my words. It’s HOT! Hopefully it won’t last too long. We have waited until the evening to do our sightseeing. Amazing the places you forget to go if you don’t have someone to show it to. I brought my parents over to the opposite side of the harbour to get one of my favourite views of Lunenburg. Can you see the heat in the photos? In this heat wave I am sewing polar fleece hats. I have approximately 100 hats to make for stores in the next 3 weeks. The greatest challenge is trying to accomplish work with limited child care. I was talking to my friend Faye today and we are thinking of starting an organization of working mothers who can’t get any work done. Faye is the most wonderful, hysterically funny story teller with two kids and more animals than you can imagine, including a pot bellied pig. She just started a blog, so be sure to click on the word blog to check it out. It’s a great read. Stay cool and try not to sew polar fleece in a heat wave if you don’t have to.
