This adorable little wooly hat is hand knit from Canadian Dorset Wool and then felted. It is reminiscent of a 1940s child’s skating hat, at least that’s what it reminds me of. Felting the hat after knitting creates a very thick, wind and water resistant fabric. The hat holds its shape like a felt hat, but is crushable like a knit hat…the best of both worlds.

The brown base of the hat is a natural, undyed sheep shade and some of the stripes were naturally dyed with Indigo and Golden Rod. the little flower was wet felted from Merino wool.

This hat will fit many head sizes, but if your head size is particularly large or tiny then its best to let me make you a custom hat.
